Permanent Residences

Every year thousands of people become Canadian permanent residents. Most do so by obtaining permanent residency (PR) first, to finally get awarded citizenship. There are many pathways for foreign nationals to become permanent residents of Canada

It is important to know your eligibility and learn about the process before applying. The different pathways have different requirements and it is a challenge to find the right program that will result in the best outcome.

We have detailed experience in human resources and labor market impact assessments. These skills can help us start you on a concrete path to permanent residency. We will create a strategy for your application, so you know what to expect.

The following immigration programs are available to become Permanent Residents.

  • Express Entry
  • Business Class Immigration
  • Family Class Immigration
  • Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
  • Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP)

Express Entry – This is a new process introduced by Canada in January 2015 to choose permanent residents based on the experience and skills needed in the development of the economy. Express Entry is an online process based on a ranking system. Participation in Express Entry will be mandatory for all economic immigrants under the Canadian Experience Class, the Federal Skilled Worker Program, and the Federal Skilled Trades Program, although optional for Provincial Nominee Program applicants.

Business Class Immigration – Individuals who aim to invest in Canada and contribute to the Canadian economy have immigration options. The programs are different and are made to attract different investors and accommodate them. The Canadian business immigration programs also seek to develop new commercial opportunities and improve access to growing foreign markets by welcoming people who are familiar with those markets and their special requirements and customs.

Family Class Immigration – Any Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada may qualify to sponsor their spouse or other family members to come to Canada. The Government of Canada shows its utmost commitment to helping the citizens reunite their families wherever and whenever possible.

Canadian Experience Class (CEC) – The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is suitable for Canada’s temporary foreign workers and graduate students who want to avail of Permanent Residency (PR). CEC is very popular amongst immigrant individuals who are already working and living in Canada. The structure of CEC makes it ideal especially for students of Canadian institutions who at present are on post-graduation work permits looking to ahead their careers.

Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP) – Canada has 10 provinces and 3 territories that have the authority to nominate individuals who can live in these provinces and territories for specific purposes. Individuals can apply to live and work in these provinces under PNP Program. If an individual enters a province in Canada under this program, they have to stay in that province for a minimum of 2 years before they can move to other provinces in the Country.
